PT INTENSIVE FAQs
How often are Producertech Intensive courses and how long does each one last?
The first course will be Monday 28th March to Sunday 3rd April. At the moment, all courses are 7 days in length and will be happening every 2 months.
How hard are Producertech Intensive courses and are they suitable for beginners?
They are 100% designed for beginners. The idea of the courses are to take people with no knowledge or experience in music production and help them to make a track in 7 days.
What do I get if I enrol on a Producertech Intensive 7-day course?
You get to attend 7 days of Zoom lessons with Producertech tutors (over 10 hours of live tuition) and a collection of 7 award-winning pre-recorded courses from the Producertech collection (18 hours of tutorials). All the pre-recorded courses are yours to keep for life. You also get a free Big Kick plugin and an extra free month of Loopcloud.
What equipment do I need for Producertech Intensive courses?
A device so you can get online to attend Zoom events and the Producertech website. Ideally a computer so you can try out apps like Loopcloud, free music software or potentially 90-day free trials of DAWs such as Ableton Live or Logic Pro.
How do Membership Payments work?
Payments are made monthly, after the free trial, by credit card or Paypal. You can cancel at any time, after which payments will immediately stop. After cancelling, you will still have an active membership until the end of the current period, whether that's a paid month or the free 14-day trial.
Is there a Cancellation fee or Membership Termination duration?
No. You can cancel your membership at any time, and payments stop immediately.
What does the Membership entitle me to?
Full access to all courses on the site, plus exclusive material each week, which ranges from bonus sets of tutorials with downloadable projects, presets and samples, to live webinars and QnAs.
I have a coupon for the Membership, how do I redeem it?
You just enter it on the payment details page (when entering credit card info for instance). For a step-by-step guide, click here.
Can I download the videos?
The course videos are only available through streaming, as written on the course page, so that you can view the course anywhere at any time, as long as you have internet access. Some courses come with bonus files such as notes, projects, presets and samples that are downloadable.
How do I purchase a course?
On the course page or individual course info pages, click buy, then check out. You'll be prompted to create an account or log in if you already have one. Next, you can choose to pay for the course via Paypal or Stripe for card payments. After purchase, your course(s) will be immediately accessible in your account.
I am not sure if my internet connection is fast enough for me to watch the videos; what can I do?
Our courses are converted to file sizes that are compatible with download rates that are well below the international average (22Mbps), as they only require a speed of up to 1Mbps. If you want to check what your download speed is, there are many websites that provide a facility for that, such as fast.com. Note that moving nearer to your router will improve your download speed, or of course connecting to it with an ethernet cable as a last resort. You should easily be able to watch our videos with either the wifi in your house or the internet on your mobile device.
I'm getting an error message when I try to watch the videos - can you help?
Here are a few tips that should help you watch the videos properly:
1. Make sure your computer and your internet browser are up to date
2. Try clearing your browser's cache and cookies
3. Make sure Flash is up to date (go here for that)
4. Try watching the videos in another internet browser, e.g. Firefox or Chrome
5. Try watching the videos on another device, e.g. Tablet or Phone.
Is there a time limit to watch the videos?
There is no time limit for any purchased courses, so you will have online access to lessons for as long as you need.
Is there a money back guarantee if I buy the online course and find it unsuitable for my needs?
The course page contains all the information and previewing options you need to get a good idea of the course content and delivery. If you read the module content and view the free videos you will be able to work out if the course is suitable for you. We decide on refunds on a case by case basis, but if you've watched a considerable number of the videos already then it is unlikely we will be able to offer you one.
It says the course comes with bonus files - where are they?
They appear as download links at the top of each course page.
I've got a question regarding the course content, who do I speak to?
You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, or use the Contact page to make an enquiry.
I've just purchased a course - how do I access it?
Log in and go to your account, then 'My Courses', where your courses will be listed.
